Default front brake line

i was looking at my old 2013 SG the other day with a friend and the question of the front brake line came up. he has an even older 2012 with abs. on my bike it appears from the lever all the way down to the calipers it is one piece. is the abs bike different?

Yes it is. ABS bikes runs from brake lever to the ABS system and from there out to the calipers.

ok great, thanks. if any one has a pic of the seperate pieces that would be great.
so, that means if i were to put tall bars on thtat required new brake line, the non abs would be the entire line from lever to calipers and the abs bike would require the longer portion from lever to abs unit, correct?

Yes you are correct. However, you can get 2 piece lines for both bikes.

Lol, no no no! I'm just ballin' on a budget here. But there are a lot of Jones' on here it seems with all the 2014s with a bunch of mods! But hey, good for them, I could never keep up with that!

Thanks. Ya I just did 10" PYO mbb's and I was fine. But my abs buddy wants to go with something taller and we noticed my 'one piece' line set up.
