Wondering how many use synthetic vs standard pertoleum oil
I'm wondering if the majority uses Synthetic or pertoleum based oil in their bagger. My current ride is running with standard oil. My last Harleyhad SYN3 added at it's 1k checkup. I thought I noticed more noise from the motor than before the change so I switched back to regular oil.
Here I am again considering synthetic, don't know if I'll be doing the right thing.
What do ya think?

Dino in everything I own. I've not worn out an engine yet. I don't ride around in the latest model either. The last new cage I bought was in 1994 and I'm still driving it. I've alsogot a '89 Jeep, '90 5.0 Mustang, and '85 inboard/outboard boat. They all do just fine on dino.
My Twin Cam has 64k miles on it. It doesn't smoke or use oil, and still runs great. Just using HD dino. I bought it for years from a local dealer for 1.99 a quart. I can't complain.
My '77 was bored once at 11k due to me melting a piston from an intake leak. I ran it to 52k before having to bore it again. That bore job was because a wrist pin tried to walk out. The good jug was still in spec and wouldn't have required boring. I piled the miles up on that bike using nothing but Pennzoil 20w-50.
However, use syth if it makes you feel good.
