Yes it does. Depending on the seat, you may have recesses on the underside to clear the rear crash bars. Even so it's barely noticeable.

 

I'm actually looking at an after market seat that fits an FLHR. What do you think?

 

Check-out the Corbin and/or Mustang websites for touring seats; both will show RK seats fitting FLHX, with the exception of the seats for the FLHRS, I believe.

 

I believe you are right. I have the Mustang (not happy with it) looking at a road sofa by saddlemen. I seen the Corbins. I don't think they are for me. Kinda expensive too. But I may end up trying one.

 

The corbin seat will bolt up. It is not a very good fit though. Not really sure why. It doesn't meet up good with the dash.

 

I like the RK seats better than the EG seats. You do need to cover an area between the seat and dash though.

I have the solo w/rider backrest and passenger pillion. My rider or myself think it is comfortable enough for the long haul. She says its to hard. For me, I guess it is not wide enough or something and a little hard too. It doesn't seem to give me enough thigh support and hurts my legs. The seat cuts me off at my upper thigh. We just did a little250 mile round trip Sunday and after about 30-45 minutes we both needed a break. Every one seems to like the seat and it seems like a quality product, just not working for me. I'm 5'11", 200 lbs, so I don't think I'm to big for it. I just think there has got to be something better for me. I've got to keep looking, cause I plan on doing a few 3-4 day trips this summer and would like to be able to stay in the saddle for a couple hours.

 

FWIW, I absolutely love the stock EG Standard seat for long distance riding, done several 3-400 mile days with no problems. Have a SG stock seat as well, seems pretty good for the 100-200 mile days and looks worlds better. 5'11" 200 +/-.....
