Ultra Classic to Street Glide
#34
I have had a couple of questions over the past couple weeks in regards to my build so I would figure I would give and update. Things progressed nicely over the last few months.
Ended up doing Hog Tunes Lids, paining the stock ultra classic lowers and installing 6.5 inch drivers in the speaker pods, painting the inner fairing, HD Wind Splitter, New bars (Wild ones 575's) with chrome controls and braided cables. There are only a few little items that would show that it was once an ultra classic.
All Audio equipment is Diamond Audio D6 Components and D3 6X9's powered by a sound stream amp. I am going to have to ad an additional amp for the lower fairing drivers because I would like more volume out of them. I replaced two of the gauges in the fairing with the tweeters from the component set. I removed the trim ring from the two gauges that were removed and mounted them on the tweeter housing to keep the uniform look among all the gauges. Many people who have looked at the bike, simply look right over the tweeters since they blend right in.
I need to find a set of street glide passenger pegs and mounts so I can remove those ugly floor boards, get the FLHX style auxiliary lamps, and pick up a different set of mirrors.
Also I need to replace the Black turn signal bar on the rear fender with chrome. So...if anyone has a chrome one and would like a black one....lets trade!
