I really like my 06 Street Glide except for that dang
wind that blows up from the bottom of the fairing. I sold my Ultra that I`ve rode for the last 14 years and could always keep a hat on because of the lower fairings... I hate not being able to keep a hat, doo rag or what everon my head... I`m thinking about maybe dragon fly wind deflectors or etc,... any body got these on there bike, do they work, orgot any ideas besides getting another Ultra ........LOL !

Hold up, the difference is for what ever dumb reason, Harley stoped puting the fork air baffel on batwing baggers after 01. (that half round cup shaped gizmo bolted under the rear of the lower fork tree) They still sell the chrome one in the catalog, about 20.00 bucks, and the forks still have the tapped screw holes so just bolt it on and all will be back to normal.

I was just looking for other posts regarding the fork baffel that Gunrunner just mentioned. They might have gotten rid of it for engine heat issues.
I use HD fairing lowers on my FLHTC and had the Freedom Wings on my FLHX. Both did a good job reducing buffeting from air coming up over the tank.

No it does nothing but stop air from coming up from the front end and flowing out onto the rider. Oh and it still comes on the roadglide.

I was told by my mechanic that they are not recommended on twin cam engines except for the Roadglide because they can cause heating problems. He said that that is why the black ones are not standard equipment on RoadKings, EG's and Ultra's. Could be an urban legend, but that is why I took the chrome one that I bought off a week after I put it on.
That doesn't mean it's pure fact, but living in a hot climate, I'll stay away untill I get more info.

Check out the other threads I would run a tap in the threads b-4 installing the baffle due to the threads being coated.
As for the heat, just another 20 for HD, kinda like making the hole bigger on the tube of toothpaste.........................more profit! It used to be stock.
