Now how do I do a stage1 download with the supertuner pro?I thought I could only download the map that was in the ECM on the bike am I wrong?

Ok sorry ............didnt know there were new maps with-in the super tuner software until just now so I can take it I can D/L a stage1 map and head off to the dyno and save a boat load of cash in the process..........

 

yes you can load the map that is closest to your bike mods. make sure the dyno guy will work with the SE pro. If he does then he has those maps too

 

Use your SEPST and find a calibration for your your bike. Then program your ECM with that stage I calibration. You probably won't need to have the bike tuned on a dynamometer. Dyno tuning is not cheap. And since you're only making minor mods you should be very close using the factory supplied calibration. At least ride it a while after you load the new calibration to see how it runs.

 

Yea dyno tuning here about 400-600 big ones(that I dont have)I did find a map closest to my 2013 street glide as all I am doing is adding SE street cannon slip-ons,cobra head pipes and a SE air cleaner and just watched a video on how to adjust a map and rename it to .....say Test2013 also found a map for my 2007 heritage classic thats rather close.Kind of odd there is no config for a 2013 air cooled 1690 stage1 just a 2014 1690 air cooled stage1

 

WIth cash being tight, I would finish your modifications, and install the appropriate tuner map. If your bike runs well and you are satisfied, there is no need for a dealership download nor dyno time.

Use the un-spent cash for something else.

 

The Super Tuner needs tuned for your upgrades. Somebody needs to chaneg the fuel map in the Super Tuner You don't necessarily need a Stage 1 download unless that is the prescribed canned Super Tuner program for your build.....

 

I do know/believe the maps/config are sent out lean and most I've talked to say 13.9 is a good if not perfect setting for AFR......I dont know as I am learning this stuff(give me a SBC V-8 and I am at home)

 

Never fails to amaze me that people will spend $1000's on pipes, AC, cams and then do not have the money to dyno, do not know enough to DIY when you already own the SEpro tuner AND then go on to discuss 13.9 AFR
