Default What all tweeters fit gauge hole ?

Thinking of removing 2 gauges and adding tweeters while I'm doing my audio upgrades, anyone know what brand and model tweeter will work ? Not looking to spend 100 bucks on some tweets.

I have JL C2 ones in mine, also know Polk ones fit. Get the hole plugs like from a EG standard (75106-96A) and see if the ones ya like fit in them.

I've got Focals in mine. +1 on what Oldhippie said. Get the gauge plugs from the EG Standard and us the proper size hole saw to cut em out and the tweeters will friction fit perfectly. Good luck. It's a great way to go!

Is the sound they add to your system worth $100 + dollars ?

I use the hawg werks tweeters, no cutting direct replacement like the cvo tweeters. They also plug inline with your speakers so no splicing.

I don't know what your reference of comparison is, but for under $200 a Focal (or other) component system is, indeed, better than a coax that cost the same or a little less. High frequencies travel in a straight line and the handlebars (and master cylinder, etc.) will block those high frequency sounds. It's worth the effort IMO.

Since I have lost most of my high frequency hearing I need all the highs I can get, so yes. But they should be matched with proper low/mid speakers to provide overall sound. Cheaper to buy a 6.5" Component speaker system than piece one together.

I have amps in my bike so I can defiantly hear them, you could always go to the dealer and see if they have a new stock cvo street glide and hear how a set might sound from one of there's? Also Harley sells the tweeters that come in the cvo street glides as well. I've read from a few that if you use the top two gauge holes it sounds better but I didn't feel like taking mine back apart to try. What might be worth it to one person makes no sense to another, lots of aftermarket Harley parts chose what you want.

Already have 4 DXi650 the tweeters were an afterthought, just thinking about adding some while everything is apart.
