Who has put mudflaps on their bike? Front Fender? Rear Fender? I like the idea of protecting the oil cooler and bottom end from road crap but I'm not sure about the look on a Street Glide... Especially the smaller front fender on the '14's......

What say you?

I just ordered a set from Kuryakyn for my Tri-Glide....they look pretty cool on a trike! Don't know if they offer any extra protection, but the back end needed more chrome.

I've done it on other bikes, making my own from old conveyor belts and the like. Big ones tend to wing out over time, which can look kinda weird. If they are really long, you can catch them on the back of potholes and curbs and the like.

There was a bit of discussion a while ago about flaps in front of the rear tyre, to catch nails and the like thrown up by the front tyre from getting under the rear tyre. Our stock fenders are quite long, compared with other brands of bike and do a reasonable job IHMO.

Mud flaps look ridiculous on a motorcycle.

Also fringes.

I ran them on my last bike primarily due to the fact I live on a gravel road and didn't want dirt thrown all over the oil cooler and other portions of the bike. It did its job. I didnt like the looks of it but my cooler was protected.

I use an empty Muskrat (pelt). They're just the right size, and hold up pretty good. After about 4 years, I go get another one. People think it looks like I just ran over it.

I hate mud flaps unless they have that chrome naked lady on them.
