Cvo fender questions
I want to put on a cvo fender to match the cvo style bags. I found somebody who's got the fender and fascia for $200. I need to piece everything else together. Lights, mounting hardware and whatever else I need. How can I tell if these are genuine HD parts he has for sale? Am I better off buying the fender kit from a 20% off dealer? Also a local dealer said I need a saddlebag support bracket. $160. Anyone know if this is true? The bike is an 09 SG

According to the HD website, you do not need the saddlebag support kit.
The .pdf instructions contain the part numbers. You can call a dealer to see if they can get the parts in you will need.

I have been contemplating this mod for a while and I found it easier just to order the kit ... $799 shipped to my office. Sadly, the fender itself was dented so I am waiting for a replacement fender to be sent out for exchange. Everything comes with the kit even the new wire harness and all the nuts and bolts. Once painted, I expect it to be an easy mod.

I put a CVO rear fender on my electra glide. I used the Yaffe license plate holder though because I hated the factory one. I even used my Electra glide saddle bag bracket and have crash bars as well, I also put the CVO speaker lids on. Pretty much made the bike the way I wanted it.
