Default Removed sealed bearing- -can they be reused?

Getting some eBay found take-offs (no mile) wheel powder coated. Pulled the bearings out in preparation for powder coating. Can removed bearings be re-used? Bearing wee pulled out using a Heartland bearing removal tool and look fine. Bearings are pulled out by pulling on the inner race and show no visible or tactile damage.

As cheap as they are, and as much potential for catastrophic failure as they contain, I would put new ones in. Bearings do not react to lateral pressure very well.

EDIT: I know this probably goes without saying but make sure your powder coater knows where to not apply the powder and tapes off the bearing area. Not all guys are smart like that and some guys that work in those industries...well let's just say they have their name on their shirts for a reason.

I wouldn't chance it, bearings don't cost that much.

For the price of the bearings go with new ones. Do you really want to pull those wheels to replace the bearings again if your old ones fail? I would just put the new ones in.

You can reuse them if you were careful removing them, however if their not abs they won't cost ya to mich to repace them. I bought a custom wheel and like a dumb *** I installed the abs bearing on the wrong side,I removed them reinstalled them 17000 miles ago no problems.

Go with new. Why take a chance for saving a couple of bucks?
