True Duals Question and Survey

I don't have any of the above listed I have supertrapp true duels the reason I have them is they are as equal in length as you can get with the new crossover exhaust Rinehart also runs the rear exhaust to the left side that is how it should be unless the power has changed that I don't know about but what I was taught was if you are going to run duel exhaust it should be of equal length that is where you are going to get your most performance but some how there is a different ideal out there that you can run the front cylinder to the left and run the rear to the right some how I see restriction problems with this and power loss just my .02 worth go figure

SBates08 You are correct, my tuner said the same thing, the bungs closer to head would burn up from the heat. Also good idea on welding bung in.
Work_truk yes my brother I am with you and totally understand what your saying. Ive been racking my brains on this and guess thats why the mgs uses a PC V. Im going to measure distance from stock exhaust and see about having another a hole drilled and bung welded in. Its gonna be tight as I think it ends up right between the mount and top tranny cover.
Do you know if there are any specifics on what the depth or angle needs to be? Theres a local muffler shop that said they could do it, granted they didnt like doing it because they arent familiar with specifics.
I think drag specialties sells the weld in bungs, so maybe that will provide more info.
and everything your saying my tuner has pretty much said, but i needed to hear it again.
Thanks for all the feedback. Just hope the local shop can do a good job of welding the bung in. Id be happier than you know what if that cleared up the popping issue.
edit: just measured the stock bung is 19 inches from flange. The current 02 sensor on mgs pipe is another foot further back down pipe. 19 inches put the new bung right at the bend near top rear of primary and side panel cover. Its going to be a tight squeeze. Im now wondering how much movement there is between that gap area if any? If no movement could be possible, if theres movement due to swingarm than theres a chance the sensor could hit either side cover or primary cover.

Had an interesting conversation with the service tech at local dealership. I need to take an exact measurement, but it appears the 02 sensors may be equal length from the heads. However, the front cyl sensor is right by tranny side cover like the stock hd pipe. Thens there a foot or more in length of head pipe to the muffler.
The rear cylinder pipes position of the sensor is back behind the rear left passenger foot peg. Theres only a few inches in length before the muffler attaches.
So Im thinking the rear pipe sensor is catching the cooler reversion air which could also be throwing off mixed signals.
So I may have to end up drilling both pipes and re-positioning 02 sensors. Again Ill have to take an exact measurement and going off guestimates.
So question is do pipes need to be equal length total? or equal distance just up to 02 sensors? Can the rear cylinder being so close to muffler be catching cooler air reversion which would give a false reading?
Thanks work_truk for any clarification on this.

The plug sensors that screw in pipe to read the engine pulse, oxygen, heat etc. I think they come on 2009 and up models.

I think the Fuel Moto and Fullsac options are 2-1-2. That's not the same as true duals.
Speaking of true duals, I like Rinehart. Classic sound, great power, high quality chrome and great fit. What's not to like?
Since I have both the Fuel Moto 2-1-2 (on my Ultra) and Rinehart Extreme true duals (on my RGC) I can compare. The 2-1-2 systems don't have that classic true dual sound but make more power. Both are super high quality pipes.
Good luck.
