Unhappy Engine Light

I ride an 09 Ultra Classic, twice on my ride in to work this morning my engine light came on and the bike stopped making power. I was on the highway doing around 65-70 and the light comes on and I lose power, engine doesn't die just wont rev. I pull over turn off the bike for a few seconds restart and continue to work. After the second time it didn't do it again. Any suggestions on where to start looking?

Mine did the same thing, the dealer replace the pins(6) on the wiring harness that goes into the throttle body. They "frett" or get corrored and cause a lose connection. The new pins are suppose to stop that from happening again. Try that on your Bike..

It's called "LIMP MODE". It prevents your bike against run away TBW problems. Google and read HD's document TT418A for an explanation. You can also try cleaning the contacts with alcohol and applying a coat of contact enhancer like Stabilant. Or you can have the dealer replace the pins. I used Stabilant and haven't had the problem happen again since. In an emergency pull the plug and re-insert into the throttle body.

Know problem with the connection on the Throttle body. Check Technical Bulletin TT418A. Also when you look up the codes it will be throwing your manual will also explain the fix.
