Default Would you do it again?

This question is for those of you running a PC-V on your bikes. If you had to do it again, would you go with the PC-V again? I am going the tuner route with this bike. I used the XIED's on my Super Glide, and while they were inexpensive I'm not sure they did the job well enough. Last summer when it started to get hot outside, I started to get a spark knock. Don't know if it was a fuel issue or timing issue. I am also kind of trying to stay on a budget. My plans are to de-cat the header and leave the stock slip-on and see how it sounds. I have no plans to get into the engine and change cams.

So, i guess, in a nutshell.. Are you happy with your PC-V, would you put another one on, and any issues?

Thanks in advance.

if the only change is a stg1 yes. i agree on the xied helped but not enough later i changed to pcv night and day difference. I'm not in the market for a tuner but the power vision looks impressive as well.

Pcv on my 06 is great.
No regrets and I installed 2 more on friends bikes and they love them. My 09 has a tmax autotune due to cam work. It does a great job too. For a stock stage 1 bike, the pcv is all you need. Go through fuelmoto for great support.

I've had the PCIII for 6+ years and have had excellent results with it. If it ever gives up on my I'd probably go with the PCV (unless I had extensive engine work done).

When my bike was stock everything, I would get right around 38 mpg. I put high flow air cleaner, ProPipe, and the PCIII and had it dyno tuned. A definite increase in performance and my mpg went up to 43-45 mpg.
I've had it re-tuned a couple of times for different reasons, all with good results. I have also hooked it up to my computer and tweaked it myself.

It's worked perfectly. Zero issues. Installed almost 3 years ago and never messed with it again. Bike runs great. Very happy with it and FuelMoto's service.

NO! I have a PCV. Ya can tune for power or mileage, had it on the dyno 3 times. Have a PV waiting for instal and dyno. Flash tuners that retain closed loop operation is the only way to go. Any "add-on" is a waste on modern o2 bikes imho.

I agree. I had one and took it off. Hated it.

Loved mine, going with fuel moto and maps for life is so worth it. But if you have the money a power vision is much better.

I have had PC-V's on a couple of bikes. They were good, but not as good as a flash tuner. If I were to go beyond an XiED product it would be to a Power Vision.

Good overview here-
