Default Brake light/ turn signal

Hi,
I was gonna order a running light/brake light/turn signal kit from Harley ( p/n 69461-06 )
for my 2007 RKC but I 'm hearing that the brake light is not bright enough.
Has anyone had experience with this ? Any suggestions ?

Thanks in advance,

Jake

As a brake light, it might not be as bright as a two-filament bulbwould make it, but it's bright enough. I love having the extra running lights back there. You won't be unhappy with it.

I have that same kit on my '04 road king. It works fine and seems to be plenty bright.

Everybodys not happy, there was a thread about 4 months ago on this. I tried them and removed because it makes your turn signals not very stand out like they are in yellow. With the kit, the flash is only a little brighter than its red running light.

Yeah, This is what I've been hearing.
Makes me think twice about buying the setup.
I also heard that the older style HD conversion kit is better.

I got my buddie's (from his fatboy, taken off because of losing his taillights) for the price of a T shirt...I didnt want to go that route either because his bullet turn signals were sooooo bright as running lights....on mine (RKC) the running light portion of the signal is very bright, but still you can see a difference when the brake comes on both day and night...so for the price, I'll keep it...

I removed it and replacedthe HD unitwith the "tail bones" kits from Biketronics which
I did find to be much better in stop/run contrast , which is the problem with the HD ones (not enough differance between stop and run). Also there customer service was top, even recieved a call a few weeks later
asking if I still liked there product

I heard the "lack of contrast" stories and went with the Biketronics "Tail Bones" setup. They work great and there is a lot of contrast between the running lights and the stop lights. You canalso get the "Front Runner" setup to add front running lights to your front turn signals.

OK in a perfect world they might be brighter. But like others have said there are 3 red lights on, they all do get brighter when braking and there's no doubt about the turn signals. For the money I'll take Harley'skit. You can have all those LED setups for $150 +. Don't like the fact there is no side or radiant light from the LED assembly. My .02. Dave
