Sure, you're trying to argue...I don't care if you believe me or not. I learned by doing...not by free info on the Internet. I've found that free info is generally worth every dime. So, with that, I'll let you surf the net and tell us ALL about it! And those of us who have actually learned by experience and getting the job done will let YOU be the expert!
Doing? I guess the powder coating setup and spray booth in my basement are made of pixels? I guess being 43 years old and owning my own business working with my own 2 hands for 22 years isn't enough?
Building a 53k model chop...countless cars...with blowers...motor swaps...
Don't assume everyone just reads the internet...I have skills and can wrench/fab. I'm a weak with a tig...but that's cause I dont own one to play with. I would have no problem setting up a hvlp gun and shooting a car.
Oh...here is one i did...hmmm

I tried powdercoating myself in 2009, since I live in the middle of nowhere DIY was pretty much the only way to go. I did my whole SG in flat black.
Here is a pic of the 4x4x4 oven I fabricated, 18600 watts of oven elements, runs on two 220v outlets. If you really enjoy DIY powdercoating, fabricating a big oven might be a future project for you.
BTW, I've tried both, just scuffing and sandblasting the chrome with aluminum oxide, and sandblasting is longer lasting.
I got a gun from Caswell Plating, not the best but does the job.

I bought it a while ago, looks like they have better ones for sale now.
The oven I can't really say much about, I fabricated it from parts taken here and there.
If you're not going to do huge parts, you can always strip down a regular oven and rewire it.
This is what I use for small parts, I use the same temperature control unit on both but only use one 220v outlet on the small oven.
