Absolutely. That has also been mentioned.

I remember seeing this in a parts catalog and couldn't figure it out til now. I will research tonight some 3M products and see what I can find and post up here. I have this 3m double sided UHB (ultra high bond) tape that is awesome. In fact the sales rep told me they use it to secure airplane wing skins. I will see if they have something that can be submersed in petroleum oils

It's no secret stuff. It's made by Maxlok (I think). I have a tube at home if anyone needs the info. Still haven't got around to installing it yet

What is the product number of the tube you have? I looked up Maxlok and the parent company is LORD and they make a buttload of adhesives worldwide. If you post the number it would be easier to see what one is suited for the comp.

DH is a good ways out if a all. Big engineering mountain to climb. These guys are the best and if anyone can pull it off they can. BDL I tried one with unacceptable results. The unit locked up and I ended up with a solid sprocket. Tried to remedy it but locked up every time I started the engine. Others maybe having better luck with it.

I'm curious as to when you had your experience with the BDL. I like many others, am plagued with this late model twin cam primary issue. I have been following all possible options and developments. BDL did a slight re-design some time back wherein they changed "washers" or bushings that the unit slides back and forth on. My question to you is, did your experience happen with an earlier model or was it with the latest incarnation? I need to decide very soon how I am going to attempt to remedy my primary drive issues and was hoping to make the best, most informed choice possible. I believe I have seen your efforts elsewhere, if you are the chap from Canada who has worked so hard at trying to test all options available and develop solutions for design shortcomings. If you are indeed him, then please accept my thanks for all your efforts and if you are not, please disregard.

Thanks for your time,
Thom Tupps

Default Darkhorse Compensator

I received this update from John concerning their progress with the comp. sprocket. The text speaks for itself, but I just want to add that if the MOCO had half the professionalism and integrity that he and Darkhorse have, none of us would be in this situation to begin with. Much thanks for all the hard work and diligence.

"Thom,

I wish I had more info for you, we hope that we are in last round of testing latest revision of our product, but unfortunately I am not prepared to give you a date at this time. I am truly sorry, but that is all the info I can release to you at this time. My belief is that by fall we will have something to market you can bank on.

Thank you - John E Dahmer

Myself and Ron who is in Canada developed the oiler kit. The BDL I tried was about 2 years ago can't say for sure but think it was the first version. The design is not for me but like I said you have to make your own call with it I agree with gathering all the info you can in your decision. The Darkhorse cushion unit I am like you hopeful for a viable option but it has to be released and proven. That will just take time. Got my fingers crossed for a home run like so many others.
Richard
