I have more time into getting this to fit properly than I would like to admit
no pics, but what I did was
removed stock ring
drilled and installed four small bolts in the headlight retainer ring?, trial and error here to get tight fit and no gap
then I spaced the headlight retainer ring? out from the fairing with three small washers (real bitch, I ended up taping these together and redoing whole through the washers taped together)
HTH, way too much time but the gap is tight

this is how i solved my install issue and some pics to go along with it. the tape i used is sticky but not adhesive on the outside and i wrapped a few times so when i tightend the ring down it compressed the tape just a bit. this method is just like using just the original ring and its easy to remove/install whenever you need to for adjusting headlight and stuff
1. removed trim ring.
2. removed headlight bucket.
3. wrapped the edge of the bucket with black rubber pipe wrap (its in walmart plumbing section $9)
4. reinstalled headlight bucket
5. installed headlight visor ring without original visor

Don't mean to restart a old thread but does anyone know the bolt size that tightens the trim ring? I stripped the original phillips head bolt out and need a new one. I would really like one with a hex head instead of the phillips. My headlight seems to be a little loose from loosening the stock ring and I need to play around with it some more.
