I, too, would buy a Mustang without a bit of reservation. Have ALWAYS had good experiences with them, they don't require a break-in, always comfy, never a problem. Not cheap, not the most expensive, just a good quality seat.

I have a C&C Squareback on my Night Train. It's a great seat, but I have nothing good to say about the company.

I had a Corbin Dual Tour on my Limited, and I'll get one on my CVO. It's also a great seat. I like the off-the-shelf version of the seat, so customer service isn't an issue.

However, I've been reading about the lack of customer service. I called to get some leather sample to decide which 1 to get. They never even sent them to me. I called down to Florida and they did send me some samples. So are the new seats and is the after sale service that bad? Driving to do a ride in is not an option. wish I was closer to them.
I guess my butt likes hard seats. Read a lot about C&C seats but unsure about the comfort. I had a mustang before it seemed to be an hour before I'd start squirming around to be comfortable. I'd like to set back about an inch or so from stock and don't want to be raised up any. I need to be able to use a back rest on long rides.
Any seats compare to the Corbins for all day comfort and decent looks?
Thanks for the replies.
Don't get me going on Corbin customer service, I bought a seat it did not fit I called them to tell them this they told me to send it back at my cost and they would try it on their bike and if it fit they would ship it right back to me and charge me for shipping I told them just send me a different seat that the mounting tab was off 1" they told me I did not know what I was doing I am tool/die maker for 30+ years I told them I take stuff apart and put back together all day they said to bad, no refund all sales final so I sent copy of receipt to CC company showing it does not state this anywhere on the receipt CC company said send it back registered mail once they sign for it it is theirs just send copy of mail receipt to them they would reverse the charges, when Corbin saw the charges reversed they called me and threatened to take me to court,my CC company called them and told them if this was the case then all CC transactions from Wells Fargo to Corbin would be stopped. So if you buy from them ALL sales are final!! buyer beware just my experience others I know have no problem with their seats as long as they fit.

I called & the Rep said, "don't worry it'll break in, if you have trouble just call us in a few months".

It didn't get better, and I did call.

At which point they said "too late"..... I said; "wait, your Guy said to give it some time"...

not long after that the seat covering started cracking- they denied a repair claim saying it was 'sun exposure'- well the only time it is in the sun, it is shaded by my rear.
...less than a year old.

so pretty poor experience with the product- and even worse with their Reps or policies.

I did write Mike Corbin when he was still heading the company, promising that I would never miss a chance to share my experience with Corbin- I was hoping that it would have a happy ending, but no.

I put Corbin in the category of a company maybe better at sales than seat building and aftercare

I am not overly demanding, at present i use a HD Brawler as solo seat, it is mostly for around town. i use a 09 FLHX seat for day rides and an Ultra seat when touring.
...and it just now occurs to me that the cost of all 3 seats ( 2 + the stock) is less than 1/2 what the Corbin cost me.

Mike

We know that vendors do watch Forums for Customer Feedback...Corbin, you can PM me if you'd like to offer a solution.
I be happy to post that after years of neglect, a vendor has stood up and remedied a problem

I had excellent service from Corbin and I didn't even buy a new seat. I bought a seat on ebay and it didn't come with the locking stud. Called Corbin who instructed me to go to a dealer which I did, our local Honda shop. Well the shop calls Corbin, tells them what I want and a week or two later they call me up. I get there and it's the right locking stud, with the rest of the mounting hardware and instruction manual. The best part of it all? No charge, that's right, they sent it out free. I've had Corbin before and didn't have any problems but that right there had me. YMMV of course.

I'm going to Daytona in March
I'm going to go try a Corbin Classic Solo while I'm there, I just cant spend close to $500.00 on a seat without trying it out
I called Corbin in Florida and ask them if I could try one out, the guy I talked to said yes and was very helpful
I guess I will find out in March

My seat pan broke after 3 years (cracked where they shaved it to clear PVC) They replaced with new seat no questions asked.

Corbin makes the most comfortable seat to/for me period!I have a CC and Danny Gray for my EG but they make me squirm after a short while. Corbin is all day comfort but I am having trouble getting my Smuggler fixed.
