"Accept" is admitting it is a very personal decision. At .006", I would not hesitate just swapping out cams and maybe even a BB on top, but I am also doing headwork and a HPI throttle body - so .006" was a real pain in the a$$ decision for me.

Anyway, yes to crank work(Darkhorse) and yes to Timken(Indy). I am in the middle of it right now - crank was shipped yesterday.

Yea. I struggled with the crank work and decided not. Can't remember what my runout was but within spec. Good luck with the build. I'm just waiting for good temps to put my 107 together. I don't hammer the bike. I just want the power there when I need it. Besides, I don't think is my last build.... 117?? You never know:-)

Finally got around to installing Parallels Desktop for MAC on my macbook, which allows me to run Windows 7 virtually on my macbook. Just got done downloading the Super Tuner software and it looks like everything works fine. Now at least, i can talk to my bike. Funny thing is, when i went to the dealer to ask for a copy of the most up to date software, the guy i talked to said i didn't need it and couldn't use it. Said it could only be used with a Dyno. Dealership was minimally staffed today because of the snow, so i couldn't get ahold of a more senior parts person or anyone in the service dept before i had to head out to pick up a kid.

Thanks for all the helpful input, fellas. Poking around for the Feuling gauge, but still not sure it i need to worry about it or not.

Yep, can't wait to get them installed, get some good weather and really have some fun with them and yep, i have the SEPST P/N: 32109-08C.

I am quite comfortable doing the cam upgrade. I have the service manual, and there are a ton of helpful videos out there. Don't consider replacing the cams to be rocket science. I love doing my own work...gives me a greater sense of accomplishment rather than just taking it to the dealer to have someone else do it. I am just not as experienced with the tuning part yet, that's all.

If it was me, I would take the money you are contemplating for a dyno tune and purchase a Power Vision. Put the SE tuner on the shelf and forget it. There are tons of folks with 204s, using the PV, and are very happy. If you purchase it from forum sponsor Fuel Moto, they will enter the calibration for your hardware and all you have to do is upload it to the bike and ride.

I purchased a fueling runout gauge. It looks like this:

As indicated in a previous post, you can also find gauges and mounts on Ebay to help you measure runout and to make other concentric measurements.

BTW, the crank runout spec for your bike is .012. So unless you find that your runout exceeds .012, then you will find no love at the dealership. I don't know why you are worried about it anyway on that new bike...other than just to find out what it is for peace of mind (as I did).

Good luck with the cam change. Remember to replace all three O rings for that oil pump. You can replace the inner bearings if you wish, but that's up to you. You can replace them with these:

Use the right tools and good, calibrated torque wrenches. If you don't have the right tools, get them.
I talked with the folks at FM about the PV, but not in the cards right now due to money. the PV and suspension upgrades will happen next year after i replenish my "HD goodies" savings account.

Regarding O-rings and bearings, I ordered the cam installation kit from FM that comes with all the gaskets, O-Rings, pushrods, and the upgraded inner cam bearings with more rollers than stock.

Already have all the tools i need, so am good to go there. I had to find a cam bearing removal/installation tool and it is on the way. That was the only thing i needed.

You can get the latest maps by downloading the software from Hd. There isn't going to be a good map that fits your combination. You do need the cables to hook to the VCI SEPST and the bike. The cable from the VCI is standard usb printer cable. Once you get the cams in it won't hurt anything to start it. It will run very rich at idle area and may not want to idle. It isn't a big deal to install a map. It will also tell you to do update first time you attach the SEPST to the bike and computer. Send me a PM with your email and I will send you a map that will work very well with your set up. You won't need to be in any hurry to dyno it. Send details of bike such as year model, exhaust, and air cleaner. I already know it is 13 touring with 2 in 1 in 2 with SE 204. Reason for email is the SEPST maps are too large to send on forum.
Map 044AAO003 will work before you put the cams in. It will improve performance a good bit. It has a much improved timing map over stock one.
