Put a BAL-3ST on my '14 Limited and love it. Bought it through a dealer and yet BAL called me to follow up based on a comment in my warranty registration. That took great care of me to make up for some ill-informed local sales people. I'd go with the 1 or 3 and know they'll take care of you.

BAL 1 is plenty bright. I would not spend the exact money on the BAL 2. Love my BAL 1.

Installed the BAL-1 on the Limited and when I got done called the wife to make sure it was working properly. Boy you should have heard her curse up a storm after the LEDs hit her!

I already had an LED brake light. I hooked up a Sound off signal Multi mount brake/tail on my Airwing rack. It has 6 GEN3 led's(5 pulse flash) and it's slightly convex so it throws a wider beam. mounted a little higher than a standard mount light,It gets attention................

The difference between the two isn't much on how bright they are--you may not really be able to tell.

You do get a couple extra options in the flash patterns with the BAL-2 over the BAL-1 as it is the one recommended for emergency personnel; you also get extra LEDs for that "just in case one burns out".

I got the BAL-2 because I got a good deal on it, one of the guys I ride with has the BAL-1; really don't think I've noticed a difference in brightness, although I don't often look at my own brake lights.

I am planning on getting the BAL-1. Does anyone know who sells them and would have a discount price or a coupon code?

I've been running the BAL-1 on my Ultra for a few years now. Its very bright. No complaints on my end, but several comments from folks behind me about how bright it is.

Here you go http://www.kutterharleyonline.com/harley/BAL-1 says $199 just add to your cart and it's $170. Have had the light on my last two bikes. I posted a video of the light in the daytime here

Can't really say in terms of comparison. I have the BAL-2R and it is bright as hell. Personally, I would say if your budget can handle the 2, then get it.
