Default Fog Lamp wiring question

I have a set of Motolights that I am installing on my 13' Roadglide with a plug and play harness that uses the AUX switch.

My question is can I wire a set of HD crashbar mounted fog lamps part # 68913-98c into the motolight harness or should I keep the 2 seperate.

HD lights come with a harness and a seperate switch which I would mount in the inner fairing somewhere. I wanted to use the Aux swith for both.

thanks for the help

If you add wiring and use relays you can do about anything you want.

if you use the stock wiring and switches on the bike you are limited to the capacity of that wiring.
the aux circuit should be good for a total of about 200 watts of current draw- but I wouldn't go over 120 watts or so myself.

I have the H-D foglights and wired them in with a relay. A suitable relay will enable you to wire both sets of lights through it. That way the power to the lights goes through a new wire you add, direct from the battery, while the only load you add to the original wiring is the power to switch the relay. If you buy a relay from an auto shop for adding lights it should come with a wiring diagram that is pretty self-explanatory.

The motolights have a harness/realy and in-line fuse that plugs into the AUX harness connector.

I think I will just wire them seperate with thier own relay/fuse...just didnt want to have another switch.

The only limiting factor would be the current rating of the switch but it should be able to handle the coil load of both relays.

What kind of switch are you using? A MoCo auxiliary rocker switch mounted in a housing or a stand-alone push-button switch like comes with the fog light kit?
