Motorman, yes that's correct, I was able to use all of the stock lines and wires with no binding or tightness. The three plugs that are clipped into the plastic tray below the radio just had to be un-zip tied which gave me a lot of length to work with.
I'm also 5'8 and about the same reach and the bars feel great to me, they are wider then stock with less pullback ( straighter grip angle), I rotated them back a bit and they fee great
