I scraped my Cobra's with the stock 12" shocks on my glide. Got some taller shocks and that took care of that issue. The pipes are nice. They were installed by the previous owner so I don't know much about how simple it was.
Performance wise I doubt theres any noticeable performance difference between the two. So then it comes down to fit, finish, quality, durablity, customer service. How do these compare? Are Cobras made from 16ga? I've heard S&S has had some issue with mounts and bolts breaking? Do they both have a full size cross-over pipe? Which would you pick?
I picked S&S and the dealer told me fit, finish and tuning are great with the dual sensor ports. I got a 22% increase (73 to 89) in HP and 10% in TQ (94 to 103) just by changing the header and air filter. Kept the stock mufflers because I wanted to keep in quiet.
I have the S&S on my EGC. 13 inch shocks and no scraping, maybe it's a problem with 12 inchers. Fit and finish is good, noticeable seat of the pants improvement. $416 off Amazon.
I have the Cobra speedster duals with the powerport...... Looks like true duals with a full crossover underneath. Not sure if they're 16ga either...... Easy install, solid tubing, chrome is immaculate. My O2 ports are down by tranny. They look and sound beautiful.

Thats a big increase in hp and torque just by adding exhaust and AC, I havent run mine on the dyno yet.Ive done the AC, Cobra Pwerprt, and Reinhart slips with stage one d/l and added the Flvieds, dont expect that much of an increase. But then I am running a 96er on Flhx 2011
