What they are saying with those prices is thanks but no thanks....we don't want the work.
I totally agree, they acted like they didn't even want to do the quote. Just pointed at a bike, and said, "just did that one, $1500.00 in labor alone, so that's about your starting price".
Edit......I bet there's more than a few that say, "OKAY, when can I drop it off !"

In my area they take all the work they can get especially this time of year. Should any dealer turn me away or give me a bogus quote I'd just laugh and walk away and they won't see me spend my money with them again.
Too many options out there to put up with poor customer service.

Let me guess, the dealer at the base of the Del Mem Bridge.....
What year & model bike you have? What's the height of the bars you want to install?

They wouldn't even quote me, it was there sister store in Smyrna. It's an 01 Road King was thinking about 12" apes, but if I'd need new cables, than I'll just go with the 16's.

With no fairing to remove, the job is a piece of cake. Buy a service manual and get to work. You can probably do the job yourself for $600+/- depending on what bars you decide on.
