Default Anyone paint their outer vent bezel to match on 2014 fairings

Looking to see if anyone painted their outer vent bezel (mail slot) to match the fairing. I was thinking of doing this when I have the inner fairing painted.
Post some pics if you did. I'm sure others have thought about doing this.

that's the beauty of buying a black Harley, the vent already matches my black fairing. Yours does too I'd think

I saw one vivid black where the owner painted the vent to match. Unless you knew what to look for, it was kinda hard to see it was painted but it looked better than the flat black.

I was surprised that HD didn't have a chrome or color matched vent in their mid-year P&A release.

I did mine, myself. Be careful it the outside piece is flexible and can bend and crack the paint

Thx for the pic, I was thinking that too. It seemed flexible when I removed it.
Now you got me thinking about painting the inner vent too.

I asked the dealer about this and he said the painter said it wouldn't work because of the material that the vent is made from.

How did the install go?
