Default Getting Inner Fairing and LED Bezel Painted...

My goodness...the mods NEVER end.

After going all smoke LEDs everywhere (linky), the stock inner fairing and flat black Tour Pak LED bezel were bugging me. Add in some gentle nudging from Pioneer74...it's time to do something about it.

Doing some research here pointed me to Mr. Paul Barber (linky). Made contact, and I am going to ship my inner fairing, fairing cap, and Tour Pak LED bezel to Florida and let him work his magic.

So tonight, I pulled my Tour Pak LED bezel, inner fairing, and fairing cap. All in all, it took me about 2 hours. Thanks to the service manual, and the excellent HDF tutorial from bubbas1 (linky), it was a breeze. It took me that long just because I'm slow and like reading TMs. Bagging and tagging all the wires/parts, thoroughly grokking the next step, etc.

Anyway, here's where we stand as of now:

Now I just gotta find/make a box and get these babies in the mail to Paul!

Many thanks to bubbas1 for the excellent tutorial!

More to follow...

painted inner fairing make the bike look complete. I need to get a service manual. It would make things a lot easier.

Just put that drywall primer on it and call it a day. Haha.

I like your cable/connector marking tape too...primitive, but effective. Post up some pics when you get 'er re-assembled.

You'll love it when you're done. I'm dropping my CVO style lowers, speaker lids and LED bezel off at the painter next week.

Nice work, while you have it apart look at your fairing brackets. Mine went after 3 seasons.

Mine still look in decent shape. What was the issue with yours, if you don't mind me asking?
