RE: vance & hines fulepak
I use it and don't have any problems with it, in fact I really like it. I've called their customer support and had no problems, its simple and easy to use, and won't void your warranty because you can simply unplug it and nobody knows the difference. I think if all you are going to be doing is duals, slip-ons, and a high flow air cleaner... it works perfect. If you are going to be taking it a step further and going with performance cams and further stage kits... then you'll probably need something you can tune on a dyno.

I kept the stock airbox on my 07 FLHTC, K&N filter, V&H basic slipons and the FuelPack. Called Customer service and asked if they could recommend a "Richer" fuel setting. Within 4 hours, they called me back, spoke with the techrep about what I wanted. They gave me a setting to use OTHER than the one that was with the Fuelpack instructions, and the bike runs just the way I like it. Checked the plugs after a highway run, and they are just a tinge under white......not even a light tan, but darker than the total white on the ceramic. I AM VERY PLEASED!!!

I have the FuelPak on my '07 Road King matched with the SE Street Performance Touring Mufflers and the SE Stage 1 Intake. With this combo, my plugs are showing good color, and I think the air/fuel mixture is much less lean than stock. I also get good power delivery. But I have a troublesome flat spot at about 3000 rpm that is driving me nuts. V&H customer support has been largely non-responsive, and it looks like I'm going to have to live with it or go to a different fuel manager.
On the other hand, when I had the V&H Oval Slip-Ons installed with this same intake and the FuelPak, it was a marriage made in heaven! The power delivery was awesome and linear and I was very pleased (except for the loudness of the mufflers). I suspect that V&H goes to great lengths to dial in the FuelPak maps for their own exhaust systems, but spends less time with third-party applications.
