Default Is there a rider back rest that connects to a 4 pt docking?

I usually have my Badlander seat on and don't want to bolt on the piece that the backrest slips into every time I take a trip

The back rest mounts to the front 2 points on the 4 point and above the shocks for the front of the backrest thus if you are only going to run a backrest you only need the two point mounting kit.

You can see in the picture on the Harley site for the backrest that the rear two mounting point are not being used.

No, the mount goes under the seat. MoCo makes several. I chose an adjustable.
