Many times I come to complete stopat a stop sign, feet never leave the boards or pegs.
No other traffic I just take off.
Handles great at slow around town / parking lots and high speeds.
Hopefully dealer will get the gutless portion fixed this time.

I agree about the handling. I went from a 750 Yamaha Virago to me EG and was amazed at the handling. It did not take me long to get comfortable with it and have never looked back. My brother rides a Dyna Wide Glide and we traded one day to check the difference. I couldn't wait to get back on my bike the difference was night and day.

To quote my son, who rides a 2004 XL1200C "All i have to do to make your Road King turn is squeeze one butt cheek. I know because I've done it". That may be a bit of an exageration but after you've ridden one for a while you will really appreciate it.

Had an '02 Fat Boy. Did a lot of Custom work to it, 200 tire, Legend Air, narrow Beach Bars, etc. The Bike handled great everywhere..........so I thought......until I got my Street Glide. The SG beats it in every way, even if it is 80 lbs heavier.

My RK handles as well as my Sportster did in the twisties, and rides much better. We are reaping the benefits of several decades of suspension development. While a well-ridden crotch rocket will leave us behind on the Dragon,he won't beat us by much.

I asked the same questions a few months ago whenI contimplated trading the Sporty in for a RKC. What sold me was when everyone told me I would be using the big bike for EVERYTHING. Sure enough, I have. Wouldn't go back for anything.

I went from a xlc1200 to a Road King Classic. Road King beats the sporty hands down. The King handles better in every categoryfrom the roads to parking lots. It isa lot more comfortable and every bit as manuverable. Go with the King, you won't be disapointed.

That is exactly what I do, COme up drage the clutch a bit and take off. I can actually come to a complete stop doing this.

I have to echo what everyone else said. Thought my Springer handled well until I climbed onto my 07 RKC. Was surprised at how nimble that bike is. Love riding it. Can't imagine riding anything else.
