The rake steering head/tail number for the Fatboy are 32 degrees/5.8 in and the Road King numbers are 26 degrees/6.2 in. The Road King will turn inside the Fatboy due to the head angle. This may well be the reason there are so few Police applications for Softails.

parking lot manuverability is a little tough,

If you are having trouble with your touring model in parkinglots it has nothing to do with the bike and everything to do with how your riding it. Learn to turn your bike with the bars at full lock while also working to clutch and your "problems" will disappear. Stop "duck walking" the bike as you park and let the engine do the work for you and your experiences in parking lots will be much different.

I got sucked into the bagger world when my dealer bet me they handled 10 times better than my current ride( in 1992) my 91 heritage softail. I could not believe how agile it was at low speeds, it out handles every other harley model period. Its because of the non raked out front end.
