Thumbs up Tour-Pak Organizers - Christmas Gift

I got around to installing the Tour-Pak Organizers I received for Christmas. Looks like they will be helpful in utilizing that cavernous area on a daily basis. I like the way the top organizer includes the liner. It really finishes off the look of the interior.

Hmm, what next? It's going to be a long winter....

the t/p organizer I have fell off it's adhesive.

i put the fasteners from the rack through it to hold in place.

adhesive gets loose in the heat sometimes.

I was thinking the same thing when I was installing them but I wanted to tweak the position of one of the strips a bit and that stuff would not move.

If you're having trouble keeping something stuck, try the 3M automotive adhesive tape. THAT stuff will not come off on its own.

Thanks. I think the wife has an interest in keeping my crap out of the way so that she can fill that thing to the brim with all her crap on a trip!

I've been thinking about getting those for my 14 limited... does full helmets still fit in there or does it contact the helmet?

I guess it would depend on what you have in the pockets in the lid organizer. Here's a shot of my 3/4 helmet with my wive's full face helmet. The lid does not touch her full face helmet with nothing in that large lower pocket.

+1 I've had the TP organizer on all 3 of my bikes and not once have the adhesive held up. Use the rack fasteners.

Thanks, I'll keep an eye on it when I actually get to start using the bike again in the spring. Snow again this morning in NJ. The roads are a mess with salt again...

I probably would try the 3M Automotive adhesive to affix the Velcro if the original proves not to hold.

Aahh you might as well buy the tour pak rack. I have tried the tape you mention and it will only work for a little time for me. Just think about it the weight of the crap you have in the pouches, heat from the weather and bouncing around in there. Hope it works out for you. It will fall off the lid either when you are trip or at another bad time.. Just my 2 cents..

It will give you something to do in the winter
