Road King: does '14 matter, or...?

I'm not real sure about the Kings, but being an avid reader of the forum, I see a trend in years and issues. Seems like I see more issues with 2012's and 2014's then others years.
This is just my observation, and if I were buying, I would be looking at 2010's, 2011's and 2013's. Those 3 late model years seem to have the least amount of issues, again, this is my perspective.

1. Hydraulic clutch recall. The king does not have one. Not really a issue, Harley fixed.
2. The coolant leak on the twin cooled bikes. The King is air cooled.
The 14 model year is much more than a single year update as is normal. The Rushmore bikes were reexamined and updated front to back. The difference really is surprisingly nice. Check out all the pre 14 used touring bikes at the dealers and on the market. This is the first model year IMHO that a new Harley off the showroom floor came with great power, braking, handling and lighting without the need to upgrade. Anything you do is a want not a need.
Full disclosure: I own a 14 Limited and have owned 12 new Harleys during the past many years. That is my basis for my view points.
