on a 10 i would change them out. the newer bearing has an A after the part number and is suppose to be a better bearing. i'm changing mine out every time it gets a tire.

Had to replace the frt at 13000 and the rear at around 25000 on my '08 Ultra.....both had excessive side to side movement. Did them at tire changes. Was told the harshness of Bike Brite and s100 may have caused premature failure.....IDK if that is the case or not

the 25mm bearings are junk. the older tapered bearings would do a100,000 miles easy. i have new bearings in my 12 streetgilde with the A suffix after the part number and will see how long they last. i wish an after market company would come out with a simple kit to put tapered timkins in the wheels of these new bikes. the would sell alot of them.

Howdy,

Took my back wheel off to replace the tire. Have about 30K on my scoot.

Replacing the bearings for peace of mind. I'm also the kind of guy that replaces all three holes with new fluid every oil change. I want to ensure my bike lasts as long as possible.

ABS bearings are a bit expensive. That's why I waited until 30K. I figure every 30K worth of mileage spreads out the cost.

Being a former flyer in the Navy, I'm NOT a fan of "fly till fail", and so I'm also not a fan of "ride till fail", especially with the tires. I believe in preventative maintenance.

Cheers,
Skippy
