How does the warranty work if it does on parts ordered online in case something happens to a Harley part. Is it the same as the standard 1 year if purchased at a dealership? Has anyone ever needed parts warranted?

I did a search but really see anything but sure there is on this.

 

Internet parts warranty will be between the vendor and you. However all of that is guided by their return policy. Forget about a local dealers help because you didnt allow him to make any money on your parts purchase. Plus he wont stand behind parts he didnt sell. Can you blame him?

 

most over the counter parts are only 90 day warranty, longer if dealer installed. read fine print to be sure. Mike

 

These guys are right. No sympathy from your local dealer, 90 days on most 'owner-installed parts,' no days on other parts.

I would think that the online dealer who sold the parts, how long ago did you purchase the parts, what kind of part is it, and what is it that's wrong would all be factors.
