Default Gauge Replacement - DIY

Has anyone replaced their ambient air temp gauge with an oil temp gauge on a HD with a fairing? Problems? What oil temp gauge did you use?

I have a 2013 Street Glide...

a few guys have ( I have not).

the air temp gauge is useless, we all know....but replacing it with a gauge which will only cause worry and target fixation may not be much better.

especially for $150 ( the H-D)

The install is fairly straight forward- some have changed the routing of the probe wire to make it a little tidier

I have not, but if your looking for options tweeters work real well in there. Most just plug in-line with you fairing speakers. I run the hawg werks and think they are 100 times more useful than the temp gauge was! Also gave up my volt gauge, don't miss it!

I replaced mine with matching Harley gauge on last two bikes. At least it works. Pretty easy.
