Default replacing the dash insert on 09 ultra...

What are the options? I know I'll have to relocate the com plug, but I want a smooth insert.

This may be acceptable.

Part number 60957-08

Description INSERT, CONSOLE PANEL

List price $32.48

Look at the assemblies on Ronnie's Harley Davidson.

http://www.shopronniesharleydavidson...partfinder.htm

The console is the same that the insert fits into from 2008 through 2013 at least. All six gallon tanks on RG, SG, EG have the same part number.

This flat panel is black, from a 2009 Electra Glide Standard.

I can't say for sure what fits the RG,but the Ultra and SG inserts are different shapes. Order wisely.

I'm looking to do the exact same thing on my '11. I like the chrome one, except that it looks like it's completely flat rather than matching the contour of the console. Has anyone laid hands on one, is that correct? Otherwise I was kicking around the idea of getting the EGC panel and painting it or wrapping it, like possibly Kevlar.

I think you will find those two are the same part with different finishes and both flat. I bought Brouhard Designs chrome billet inserts from Amazon for my bike and they also are flat.

Check out the Street Glide ones. They're pretty smooth if you're looking to change out the whole dash.

I purchased one to fill the gap when I remove my stock radio and cb controls. It's not the smooth one but has the grooves milled in. I'll look at it wheni get home and let you guys know if it's contoured or flat.
