Default 06 RK motor mount problems???

I read somewhere that 06 RKs have motor mount issues. I just bought one about a month ago and, though it seems to vibrate a lot, I don't have anything to compare it to, except my previous bike, which was a Honda VTX and didn't shake at all. Could I get some of you gurus to elaborate on this issue and maybe give me some guidelines so I can determine if I need to do something? My son has a Dyna Wideglide and doesn't shake nearly as much as mine while idling. But then I know that the absorption systems are different between these two bikes.

I have a 2006 EG, the motor mounts are the same in both bikes.. I changed my front mount at around 50,000 miles, it showed no physical damage but some people have said they have failed with half as many miles. If oil has allowed to contact the mount due to filter replacement you could have damaged the rubber material causing the front mount to increase the level of vibration. I replaced my OEM mount to the Glide-Pro front mount and followed their directions for the install. I've been pleased with the product.

If you go from most metrics to a Harley, you probably ought to get a Softail. Harleys appears at first to be rather crude. However, that is the way the are. Even when I hit the starter on my Softail which does not vibrate, as compared to my 1100 Yamaha Custom, it fills hard and coarse. However, if you purchased your bike used, you need to check it out. My friend brought over a 04 Road king. I was ridding it and noticed not only a vibration but a lot of rocking motion. The nut was gone off his motor mount.

When my front mount went bad, The top rubber was split all the way around. it would shudder when coming to a stop. I put a cheap one on from eBay and it vibrated bad at idle and smoothed out at higher rpm. I sprung for the harley upgrade 79c I think. Better but not as smooth as the original.

I ride a 2006 Road King. It only has 15K miles but no noticeable problems. I'll check the mounts. Thanks for the heads-up.
