Not putting down any of the pre-Rushmore bikes; if you were to ask all the owners of twin cooled bikes the vast majority would tell you that it's the best touring bike Harley has ever built. More power, better handling and braking than previous touring bikes. The fairing vent really works great too. Take one for a test ride.
No need to get all serious over everything.. But I guarantee you that if I pulled up next to you and said that you WOULD look.. I drove a 1996 until 6 months ago and I was happy with that. I'll drive this bike until its broke then I'll buy a new one. I just enjoy riding anything on 2 wheels. I have no doubt the 2014's are great.. The 2018-2020's will be even better I am sure when I am in the market again.. Hopefully with a new water cooled engine designed to be that way from the ground up.

My fist bagger was a 91 ultra. Followed by a long list of new ones. This 14 does everything I dreamed a new HD would do. I really see this as my last bike, time is starting to catch up with me. Won't matter to me what they build 4 or 5 years down the road. In addition; I like the water cooled exhaust valve, works well with the air cooled cylinders. Keeps the look and character of the air cooled bikes with the added advantage of cooling the hottest point with water cooling.

If someone pulled up and told me coolant was leaking, I would look down. No different than if someone said oil was leaking.

Enjoy your bike. I hear the 09-13 bikes are real nice. I went from a 07 to the 14.

I feel for those with this issue, but this did make me chuckle a bit.
