Default Wrapped my baffles, Mellow sound now

I bought a set of Rineheart knock off slip ons from a local guy for $100...nice condition but they were tinny or canny sounding...Bought some sport bike baffle wrap and wire...Wrapped the perforations on the baffles about 80% and it mellowed the sound quite a bit...$20 fix...easy peasy.

Easy and cheap fixes are nice when they happen.

Since you have the wrap and screen material, you might look at the way Fullsac recommends to do the CVO 4" mufflers Fullsac Link I did this to my 4" CVO mufflers with their 2" cores and it sounds great. May work well on you knock off Rinehearts.

Well with the way i did it i left a little bit of the perforations opened and it still has some bark...I will use it like this for a while but i am pretty sure i will take them out and fully wrap them to make them easier on the ears...Sounds good with the Fullsac true dual conversion now that i have better pipes.

I have wrapped mine a dozen times. They keep burning the packing out. What will stay in them?

Not sure... i am trying FMF packing... it was very thick and dense unlike the loose stuff i used in the past...wrapped with a roll of little fine wire... I hope it stays but if i have to do it again in 1 year it will be worth it.
