Default Fuel crossover hose

What's the trick to removing it? Do you need a special tool for the clamps, or do you just cut it and replace with a new one? Thanks.

Cut it and replace with a screw type clamp. Or, you can replace the entire hose with a braided stainless that uses wrench fittings at each end. H-D sells them.

I just cut it, then reinstalled new hose with a quick disconnect in case I need to pull the tank again.

I replace the clamps with these which you can get in black, red, or blue and use over rubber or braided fuel line.

I cut mine as well, but put cut them between two mini vise grips to control the gas into a container. You won't believe how much gas comes out on a tank that you think is almost empty

Take 2 small pair of needle nose vise grips clamp off both sides then cut it in the middle this will prevent gas from leaking all over the place then let it drain outside or in a bucket and like others have said replace with quick disconnects.

I'll likely siphon the tank first. Thanks for the tips. I think I'll go with the HD piece, I can't see using standard worm gear clamps where they are so visible.

I siphoned the tank first and then just cut off that cross over clamp.
If you get the small clamps for fuel injection they look like stock. You could cut the bolt down if you wanted to as well.

Screwdriver in the oem clamp and pop the clamp. Pull the hose. Reinstall hose with clamp of your choice. I used a spring clamp myself.

I stayed with black oem clamps, screw on one look cheesy to me, I have the tool for it (pair of dikes will work too) and also have a tank drain kit that goes in between the tank and inlet, idle the engine and point the nozzle into something and the tank is drained.
