04 Electra Glide fuel line prob??
So I just got this 04 Electra Glide don't know too much about the bike yet..rode just fine yesterday. Went to start her up today and it wouldnt start. figured it was out of gas, so I put gas in it and notice it was leaking from this line on the rear right hand side. Does anyone know where this line traces too or is it supposed to be open ended for ventilation I attached some pics thanks for the help

that looks like the overflow from your filler.
so either the tank is overfull ( which can happen if you fill up to the top with cold gas like from underground storage tank on a hot day- the fuel expands and sploops out)
there is also a drain by the hinge on the filler door to catch anything spilled in that area
CA bikes should have the fumes captured by a charcoal canister and sucked into the motor when started - but previous owner may have removed it.
I'd suggest you get a H-D Guru ( kinda like an AA Sponsor) to help you discover what you have in your garage, and guide your decisions
I assume you have an EFI model, or it it carbed ( FLHT) ?
crack your garage door to help get the fumes out, gas fumes are heavier than air and lay along the floor.
which is why gas water heaters SHOULD be on an 18" + pedestal, helps keep the hot water heater from lighting gas fumes.

starter solenoid ( the round canister attached to the starter) clicking indicates low battery or bad battery cable connections. ( but it also indicates the the starter primary circuit is working, which is good news)
do not persistently allow this clicking/ chatter or the solenoid will be damaged internally requiring rebuild ( which is easy if you've ever done a Chevy- )
pull battery, put on a real battery charger overnight and have load tested at autozone.
check the cables, both ends for clean tight connection, any signs of cable deterioration ( white powder coming out from under insulation), replace.
of you need a new battery many of us use the big crank by deka, about $100 to your door.
if battery and cables are found to be good, then you may need to rebuild solenoid.
----- if a fainter clicking is heard from under the side cover, that is the starter relay....check that the green wire is firmly attached the the starter solenoid.
you should check the alternator, regulator too- very easy checks if you have a voltmeter
I am trying to walk you through how to describe a problem, so that we are able to zero in on the problem.
there are many threads on low battery, starter and solenoid services, how to test the charging system etc etc.

Hey thanks alot. I hooked it up to the battery float and let it set for a few hours and BAM! fired right up. That is a excellent step by step guide on how to diagnose. I'll leave it hooked up until next time I ride. I am not completely convinced that the battery is 100% and will take your advice on the battery brand you recomend.
