The engines lean forward in the bike. I suspect it was to make it fit better when they went to the taller twin cam engine, but don't know for sure.

Well Hells Bells! I wish I'd realized that before. I've been looking at that and thinking everything from this thing had been wrecked to having a bad motor mount! I am going to get the all chrome "103" covers (and replaced the brushed looking ones that are stock) and be done with it. Thank you! On to the next addition!

If you loosened your AC cover and tilted it to where it covered the same amount of rocker box cover on each side and stepped back and look, you will see that it will look like its cocked forward just like your timer cover.

Thats how it is supposed to fit. lower the rear of the bike and it will be level to the ground or take a pic when you are sitting on it and I bet its level.

I just went to the garage and looked at mine, it is level with the engine. I am thinking that the slope of the floorboard is throwing you off,lol..

Haha...I think the AC cover is throwing me as well. I didn't notice it until I got it back from having the Stage I completed and replacing the Arlen Ness cover (have to hide those wires) with the stock cover. Making that level (to me) is probably what kicked all of this off. Otherwise, I wouldn't have noticed it in the first place.

Or just add a 21" wheel up front? Where here to help you find the cheapest solution, or just an excuse to tell your wife for why you needed a new front wheel!

I need NO encouragement! It is killing me that the dealership has been closed for the holidays. This leaves me to spend wayyyy too much time in the gallery section here on bikes....and maybe the threads with 1001 pages of chicks! But mainly bikes! I swear, Dear!
