Anyways, since he's already gone to bed, here is a pic. He got the Tequila Sunrise paint, it has the trunk, passenger floorboards, and the taller windscreen already.

I know the first thing on his list of mods are stage 1, and changing or adding lights to the rear. Those will have to wait until he gets home from deployment though. I am buying him iso grips when I can get to JP Cylces next week so he can at least get a ride or two in with those before he leaves.
Thanks for all the advice so far guys!
SWEET! Sounds like she has it under control.

Must haves???...For basics I'd recommend a driver's backrest and a set of slip-on mufflers....Oh, and a backrest for the passenger...That's gonna run about $1500.....Then start wasting money on anything your heart desires...

1-Custom Shift linkage, they come with hiem joints at both ends, the stock one will
brake at sometime when you are on the road.

2-The Tri Bar light, stop light and running light conversion, for safety to be seen from
the rear when braking or stopping.

I have a 2012 and to be honest, if you like to listen to tunes, upgrade the stereo. Ive made a few mistakes so here's what I recommend.....

Amp, Speakers and a new HU. You can do all 3 for under $1000. Makes riding it so enjoyable when cruising to your favorite tunes.

I suggest staying away from upgrading the tunes. For about $250, get a sena smh-10. You get a communicator that you can talk with your passenger or listen to music. Attaches to your helmet. Save the money for other upgrade4s. Now if you don't wear a helmet, that is a different story.

I have a 12 and did the stage one, monster ovals, heavy breather pcv. A must. 12" mini apes. 8" LRS shield and under fairling wings. Riders and passenger back rests. Don't need anything else. It is just perfect the way it is now.

Before investing thousands, ride it for a good while and then decide what you want to change. I have the same bike and I made modifications based on what I read and then found out that I didn't like it. Take your time, enjoy it, learn it and then make additions.
