Default New 07 Ultra

I made the move and picked up a Vivid Black 07 Ultra. First impressions are great. I moved from a 03 Heritage. Let me mention I am no stranger to baggers. I still have my 69 FLH factory dresser. I have had it for about 27 years. I have ridden newer dressers as well. The power is most impressive as is the 6 speed. Anything 55 and over works well for me in 6th. So far I have had it to 95mph and it was smooth as 55. The mirrors are buzz free always. I should mention I had it delivered with SE Street Performer mufflers, Stage1 intake, and ECM flash. At this time I see no need for any more mods. My intention is a road bike that will eat the miles and this does appear to do that well. It is without doubt the best handling Big Twin I have ridden. Yes I have scratched the footboards already. I like how they tucked everything up high and tight. Other than adding a little BLING as they call it now a days, I am pleased. The new security system is a big improvement over the old. The other was such a hassle that I just never used it. This one is effortless to say the least. I plan on going with synth at 1k miles. If it does what my other TC did it should run cooler and shift smoother. Of course I am impressd by the smoothness of it now. That brings to mind the clutch. Very nice indeed. Reduced effort BIG TIME. So let the miles roll and we will put the metal to the test.

Congrats on the new ride. May you keep the rubber side down and stay between the ditches!

I just like Black on Harleys. It's classic and timelss. Nothing looks as sleek or makes the chrome pop like black. JMO
I got a new support toy yesterday. A condor bike stand. Check out condor-lift.com if I remember the URL correctly. I was impressed by the product, well built but a bit pricy. Glad I got some ride time in before the cold returned. Could be back out as early as next week. Give me 40 degrees or better and I am on two wheels. Curious anybody running synth in an 07?

Congratulations. I've had mine for 5 weeks now. 2000 miles. My other bikes are feeling neglected.

You wont think the new security system is so great the first time you leave the bob at home and ride off with out it or you stop for gas and it wont crank even if you have bob with you and you canot over ride it with pin code as mine did. HD said many had done this. Mine now rest in its box on shelf.

That's exactly why I keep my manual in the tour pack. The instructions for disarming are there.
