Default V&H Twin Slash 4" Mufflers

Just seeing what people think of these. Are they worth $450 or should I save some money and go with the super savers. I will ge using them in a 12SG with a stock head pipe. Thanks

I bought them for my 09 Ultra and put them on my 14 SG. They sound great with the CAT removed.

I had them for about a year with V&H power duals. They sound ok but a tad loud for touring (about as loud as I can tolerate). A slight tinny sound but sounded good. I have them in the trunk of my car not knowing what to do with them....

From what I hear with true dials they would he a tad loud. But with the stock header they might be ok?

I wouldn't get them!!!! I had them on my 13 SG and they sounded odd to me. The right side had a total different sound than the left. The right side sounded fluttery. If I rode by a concrete wall they had a ringing bell sound. They popped real bad too. Tuning was done by fuel moto and they couldn't get it out. I think they are to free flowing. Even the wife said they sounded like SH**, and she has no mechanical sense. Run them on V&H dresser duals. Couldn't hear them just cruising on flat hwy. The only time I liked them is when you took off and got on it. Put Monster rounds on and all is good now. Sounds like a Harley now....

I did swap back to my stock pipe to see if I could get the ringing bell and fluttery sound out and no luck......

I had twin slash ovals on mine. These are not the monsters. I really liked them and would still be on the bike if I did not change the rear to stretched bags and now I got jackpot slash up. Those are louder than the twin slash. They are currently for sale on craigslist only and got quite some interest in them.
