Default Softbrake

I had the same problem with the cramped stock brake lever. I found this thread and ordered the extended lever from Softbrake. When I got it the small tab that holds the pin was barely tack welded on one side and on the other side the weld didn't make contact with both surfaces. When I called Richard the guy got hot, told me it doesn't make any difference because there's no pressure on the tab. He told me I could re-weld it and put a drop of silver paint on it or send it back. I'm sending it back. Too bad.

Careful with the extended brake pedal and custom pipes. I put V&H Propipes on and the extended pedal was interfering with the front pipe. Had to put on the stock pedal.

Well I tried ordering an extended brake petal from Rick today at softbrake and was treated more like a burden than a customer...What an a hole never will I give my money to a guy that would treat his customer that way. I just bought a 2015 street glide and need a extended brake lever. but 155.00 plus shipping was easy for me after the money I have spent. But when treated the way I was today. Not in a million years I will burn it first. Anyway I called Carl at Heel Guard a very straight stand up guy I would love to do business with, I told him what I needed and he said no problem even cheaper than Rich at softbrake. But Rich knew it was for me and said no he would not do it as he already spoke to me about it and wanted to handle it. All I can say IS NOT IN A MILLION YEARS WILL I DEAL WITH RICH AT SOFTBRAKE. IT WAS ONLY 165.00 SHIPPED BUT NOT THE PRINCIPLE. PLEASE DEAL DIRECT WITH CARL AT HEEL GUARD HE IS AN AWESOME MAN AND DESERVES THE BUISNESS. JUST TRYING TO HELP THE NEXT GUY....Thank you and sorry for the rant.

Default EZ brake/soft Brake

Same folks,

Dave the owner great guy to work with. Just put the EZ brake on my 2014 SGS, it's outstanding. Worth ever penny.

The brake extends forward about two inches and about 1-1/2 " down. It clears the foot rest plenty of room for the foot.

Rick or Richard is the owner now of softbrake and for lack of better words ***** I have never been treated this bad over a 160 dollor item. then when I tried going thru Carl at heel guard Rick new it was for me and said only way he is getting one would be thru him RICK bad deal I tell you I am a machinist and if I had the time I would design my own and sell them for half price. Just my opinion!!

Holy smoke! I've had the brake and the shifter lever for almost a year and had a great experience. Remember dealing with a girl that was very helpful, courteous, and gracious for my business. I'd highly recommend Softbrake until reading all of this.
