2014 Peace Office Edition Ultra Limited
Hey all,
I am in the market for my first bike purchase and I am going all in...........2014 Ultra Limited (hopefully).
This is all too new for me as far as the buying process. I am a police officer out here in western Maryland and I was told that the po-po get a decent discount on a special edition bike.
So, with that said, I am looking at a 2014 Peace Officer Special Edition FLHTK Ultra Limited in vivid black.
I am curious as to what others have paid for a peace officer edition bike. I have received several quotes and was surprised that a lot of them were significantly over MSRP. The lowest I received so far has been $25,499 (plus tax/title).
Would I be crazy to offer $26,000 OTD (tax, tag, title etc)?
Help me out guys. Let me know what prices are fair and bonus points to anyone who can quote prices closer to Maryland!!!!
Thanks,
Jim

Call a dozen dealers or so and ask for an out the door price on a POSE Ultra Limited. 10% under MSRP with no dealer set-up fees should be pretty easy to find. In stock or have-to-order shouldn't really play a big part. POSE/FFSE/Shrine don't count against the dealer allotment. Be prepared and willing to wait as they may have to order it.
My first bike was an ordered 2005 FLHTCI/POSE. Had to wait a couple months I think.

I have purchased the POSE editions in the past and have gotten nice discounts. I was interested in the 2014 until I was told that I could get the civilian model for less due to the MSRP. I traded my 2012 FLHTK for a 2014 civilian FLHTK. Dealers in the Chicago area would not deal on the POSE but did on the civilian model. Go figure! It was not worth an extra nearly $700 for a different colored pinstripe and tank badge to me.

Well, I had ordered my bike about 3 weeks ago and it came in on Monday......picked it up today.
Got the best deal from Old Glory H-D in Laurel, MD.........$22,841.00 for a 2014 H-D Peace Officer Special Edition Ultra Limited. My OTD price (tax, tags, title etc.) was $25,890.00. I was able to finance through H-D for 60 months @ 4.99% (I have excellent credit, 819) w/ only $1,000 down.
Sorry for the crappy pics as I ran into some rain bringing her home. 200 miles later she is resting in my garage awaiting a bath tomorrow.
I have some goodies to put on still..........Rinehart Xtreme True Duals, Arlen Ness Big Sucker, Power Commander V, Kuryakyn Rider Back Rest, Kuryakyn Offset Highway Pegs and the XM Radio module (can't believe harley didn't include this, damn thing costs $400.00!!!!!!) Can't wait to hear what those Rinehart's are going to sound like!!!!!

The dealer corralled you to finance with HD. Any credit union would have gladly given you 2.9% or better. I would HIGHLY suggest you start calling around to refi that loan ASAP.
