Default Premium Ride Fork Kit Question

I'm getting conflicting answers about the Premium Ride Front Fork Kit (part # 45500157) on a 2014 Street Glide Special. Will This kit lower the front of the bike or not? One dealer claims that the Specials are already lowered one inch and another dealer says that the kit will lower the bike. Anyone out there have first hand experience? Thanks!

I have the Low Profile Premium Cartridge Fork Kit (45500157) in mine and it is the same height as stock.

I would question if that is the kit installed. I know others that have installed that kit and it certainly is lower.. The standard kit is 45500158... Any one else?

The Specials from my understanding, and what two dealers have told me, is that the rear shocks are the lowered units, and the front forks are standard.

That kit will lower the front an inch, but that isn't AS noticeable as the rear.

The rear, stock, on Street Glides have 1" shorter shocks than other touring bikes, which gives net about 3/4" drop.

If a salesman is telling you they have lowered both ends, ask him to prove it.

They don't do that from the factory, but some dealers install things before they put them on the showroom floor.

I have the 45500157 premium low kit installed on my 15 FLHXS and it does lower the front. From the bottom of the cow bell to the center of the axel is now12 inches.

The only models that the come with a lowered front end standard are the Low models.
I have the low profile premium kit on my 15 UC , lowers the bike approx. an 1" , no issues or complaints
