They are adjustable, for free! Over the many years I have owned and ridden Harleys I have joked the bars are all set up by a 6 foot gorilla - they are always too far away and too high. Rolling them backwards can change the feel and geometry quite a bit. Well worth trying, especially if it's too cold outside to ride!

i was just the other way, i felt my bars were back to far and down. i rotated them up as far as they would go touching the fairing and feels much better to me. it gives me more leverage. i guess growing up riding dirt bikes i got use to this. it does make a matter how long your arms are. this is the first thing you should do when you buy a new bike is adjust your controls on the bike.
