Sure do like your Electra Glide Standard.
I had a 08 model
Put a Supertrapp supermeg 2in1 pipe on it. Thunder-Max.
High flow air kit and did a 103 to it.
Great running bike.

Wound up puttin a Tourpack on it. Liked it even more.

Thanks!

I have the standard SE compensator that I put on 2 years ago. No noise and seems to work good, but I plan to put in the newest version this winter or spring. I want the primary bulletproof, even if the engine is basically stock.

Again, thanks guys for the input and pictures. Once I got home and was able to do a more in depth research I see how it all comes together with this new Compensator. I actually like the design. I will need to come up with a good epoxy as I said dealer does'nt have adhesive and does not know when they might get it in.

Would the dealer even give you the name of the epoxy.

I hear you can also buy a 2014 primary cover. It already has a metal trough made on the cover. Know it will cost more also.

They were no help. Actually they don't want to sell to me.

Go figure.

You'd think the Epoxy would come in the kit.

See HD has come up with this, but wants you to let them do the work.
No I will keep my 11-12-13 model comp sprocket for now.

Good luck

Call me a little bit skeptical on this "new & improved" compensator assembly. Harley has known about the lack of lubrication for a good many years. As a result they have come up with (as of 2014 models) 3 separate improved versions. Each was supposed to alleviate the previous lack of lubrication in earlier versions. The first couple of them didn't do anything except remove money from my wallet and transfer it into the coffers of the MOCO and the local stealer. Screw me once, shame on you. Screw me 2 or 3 times, shame on me.

Experience has taught me that it is too early to tell if they really have fixed this or this is just another futile shot in the dark by their inexperienced engineering dept. I'll bet they farmed this out to somebody out of house to fix. This ain't the moon rover guys, its just a few pieces of metal that gall due to lack of oil. How many years should it take to get it right?
